SMP for Women
Thinning hair, a widening part, scalp showing through where it never did. SMP adds back the density that makes your hair look full again. No surgery, no wigs, no daily routine.
Female-pattern hair loss looks different from men's. Hair thins diffusely across the crown. The part starts to widen. The scalp shows through wherever the hair is parted, pulled back, or tied up. SMP solves this by depositing micro-pigments between your existing hair, dramatically reducing the contrast between scalp and hair.
The result: your hair looks visibly fuller. You can wear it up, parted in the middle, or in a ponytail, and the scalp barely shows through, if at all. The treatment doesn't add hair, but it makes whatever you have look twice as dense.
Alex runs discreet appointments for women across the Midwest dealing with everything from postpartum thinning to androgenic alopecia, traction loss from years of tight ponytails, and scarring alopecia. Pigment is matched to your specific hair colour so the work blends seamlessly across whatever style or parting you wear.

Why women come to SkalpX.
Designed for diffuse, female-pattern loss

Wear your hair however you want

Frequently asked questions
Honest answers, no marketing fluff.
Is SMP visible if I wear my hair down or in a ponytail?
No. That is the entire design goal. Pigment is placed at the exact tone and density of your existing hair, so whether you wear it down, parted, or pulled back tight, the underlying scalp doesn't read as bare.
Will SMP work if I'm dealing with postpartum hair loss?
Postpartum hair loss often recovers within 6 to 12 months. If you'd rather not wait, SMP can mask the thinning while regrowth comes in. Once hair grows back, it simply blends in with the pigmented scalp.
Will the pigment colour change or fade as I age?
Pigment may lighten slightly over four to six years. It does not change colour (it stays in the brown / black / grey family it was placed in). A quick top-up session refreshes the work.
How is the experience designed for women specifically?
Private appointments, longer consultations, time to ask questions, and a treatment plan that takes into account how you actually wear your hair day to day. The studio is set up for one client at a time during women's sessions.
Does SMP work for traction or scarring alopecia from years of tight styles?
Yes, very well. Traction alopecia in particular tends to thin out the temples and the front hairline. Pigment fills these areas and rebuilds the look of density.
